Deadpan photography is a type of shooting that I highly appreciate as I love shooting built environment, which falls under this bracket. However, I had never experimented with portraits and so I decided to take a self-portrait in this style, which is out of my comfort zone as I do not usually take photos of myself. However, I feel that this photo fits really well under deadpan photography.

Furthermore, below are some of the photos that I took for my initial idea for my final project which involved documenting supermarket shelves across supermarkets in Malta. These photos are extremely deadpan. Consequently, I decided to scrap the idea as I felt that the photos were too emotionless. The last photo is an attempt to add an element of graphic design to the photos. I achieved this through experimenting in Procreate on my iPad.
